Barrier washer line for an 800-bed hospital in Jakarta
What the client needed
A major hospital in Jakarta was upgrading its laundry facility to meet stricter infection control standards. They needed barrier-type washer extractors that separate the clean and contaminated zones, high-temperature disinfection cycles (above 71°C for 25 minutes), and enough capacity to process approximately 2,000kg of medical linen per day across two shifts.
What we delivered
We supplied 3× 100kg washer extractors configured for barrier installation (dual-door design for clean/dirty zone separation), paired with 3× 100kg steam-heated tumble dryers. Each washer was programmed with healthcare-specific wash cycles including thermal disinfection at 85°C. We provided a clean/dirty zone layout plan and worked with the hospital's engineering team on steam and drainage specifications.
AquaLine understood our infection control requirements from the first conversation. The barrier washer configuration passed our health authority inspection on the first attempt.
